Westmorland Gazette - Community report for New and Old Hutton
5th November 2020

Next Tuesday, November 10, the annual meeting of the WI is due to take place, which will be by Zoom. Members will be sent a link nearer the time.

Like all charities, the WI has not received income during the pandemic, so the Federation is asking all members to sell some raffle tickets. In addition they plan to raffle a Christmas hamper which they are preparing. Another event will be be a virtual quiz in teams of four, all socially distanced. There will also be a monthly quiz on paper. More details about the WI are available from Ruth Rigg on 722896.

Gospel readings for the month of November and a short order of prayer can be found on the church page of each parish’s website.

There are vacancies for a churchwarden at each of the churches, together with a secretary at Old Hutton Church. Anyone interested in these roles should contact Revd Canon Angela Whittaker at ang.whitt@googlemail.com or on 015395 60355.
