Annual Plant and Book Sale and Coffee Evening

Old Hutton WI will be holding their Annual Plant & Book Sale and Coffee Evening in the Public Hall on Tuesday evening 21st May. Everyone very welcome. Doors open at 7.30pm  As this is our only fundraising event of the year, we look forward to seeing old friends and new coming through the doors!

Old Hutton Women's Institute

Old Hutton has a thriving and very active WI which has been in existence in the village for many years.

Meetings are held at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of every month at Old Hutton Public Hall, unless otherwise announced (see Calendar).

There are interesting speakers on a wide variety of topics, plus various outings and the opportunity to join in many activities organised by the Cumbria-Westmorland Federation.

Members have recently organised annual litter-picks and plant sales.

It was traditional in recent years to sing carols around the village for charity. However, as the singers grew older, many found the longish walk - often in wet or snowy weather - too taxing, and eventually the function ended. Afterwards a coffee morning was held for several years, to raise the money for charity to replace the donations which for many years had come from Carol singing.

New members are always made very welcome. For more information contact either:
